May 2017 - Good Month or Bad Month?
This is going to be contentious, but reportedly Gee's crash was caused by his big wheel hitting his ass and bucking him over the bars: https://youtu.be/y7LWsZdIyM8?t=1m38s I appreciate this can happen with smaller wheels too of course, but thought it adds to the debate. IMO the differences are marginal, and any talk of seconds difference per minute of racing is hype and marketing, based on the results so far. Just wait till Gwin or Loic win (potentially) in Leogang. Time will tell. :)

Greg Callaghan's Emerald Gem: Cube Stereo Bike Check – EWS Ireland 2017
I like it, clean lines and straight tubes, think it would look smarter in a solid emerald green. Not everyone (well me at least) is a fan of the curves and busy BB areas of a Yeti/Evil for example.

Ask Pinkbike: 29er DH Bikes, Crankbrothers Pedals, and Norco Range vs Sight
@mikekazimer: Re. "The 29er was nearly five seconds faster than the 27.5'' bike over a 2:20-minute course." I don't get how you can supposedly put such a time margin between each bike wheelsize? Given that Danny Hart beat Loic Bruni (29vs27 respectively) by a mere 1.6 secs at Fort William BDS (over a 4min30 track), a time margin that would have been likely if they were both on 27, given Danny knows the track so. I just don't buy there's as much time margin as so many are making out, and the same was true of 27.5 vs 26, when every DH racer was on 27 and Bryceland won on a 26. To me, this stinks of marketing, cynically I understand bike sales were down quite a bit in 2016 compared to 2015, when the big push to 27.5 took place, it only makes sense that to increase sales bike marketers heavily promote the 29er.
