Dude, what did you do the slowmos with? That's really good quality...

It was filmed on a Canon hv20 at 2000fps and then I added between 30-40% slo-mos in Avid Liquid.

How did you get a HV20 to film at 2000fps?

Theres a shutter-prio. mode that lets you adjust the framerate from 8fps to 2000fps.

(video was worth the wait, that thing was tiiight)

I think you have the shutter speed vs frame rate mixed up. The HV20 will only shoot 24p 30p and 60i. For best result for slow mo with this cam, shoot in 60i with a shutter speed higher than 120, in post, slow the footage down 40% (with interpoleration) and each field of video will convert into one complete frame and final result will be 24p, 60 x .4 = 24. Any 'blurring' you would have seen is due to the software trying to fill in frames in between between the frame (or that the shutter wasn't high enough), like slowing to 20% speed: 60 x .2 = 12, that would be stuttery, so the software fills in every other frame digitally to make 24 fps.

I could be wrong, but it can't be 2000fps, maybe 240 fps, some tape cams do that. Either way I didn't see any blurriness in this video.

you're probably right... if I spent half the time I did biking learning about filming I would know that too. I just assumed it was fps since it goes by common fps increments (15,30,60,250,etc...)If you are right then the shutter speed was 2000, either way it looks way better than the normal 30. And the only blurring is if you go through it frame by frame but thats pretty normal for anything...

Ok cool, I literally thought the same thing years ago when I first got a camera... It's also cool that you edit in Avid, good stuff, not the simplest either, I gotta upgrade to 4.0. I'm learning FCP, it's going horrible 'cause I've never used macs either.

I'm actaully learning CS4 [premire pro] now, cool program, VERY friendly in accepting all kinds of formats, it's like a cross between the simplicity of the Sony Vegas Pro's with the organizational workflow of Avid and FCP.

 That thing is sweet

Thats so cool, is that powered only by the air compressor?
