Thanks. It wasn't me riding though, that was my cousin. I dislocated my shoulder a bit more than a week ago, so I haven't been riding since then. My cousin was rocking my bike and helmet. If he wasn't working, he would have been racing this year too.

Cool! Man I dislocated my shoulder last January too. I sliped on some frozen Ice on a rock slab and my shoulder poped out for the first time. Since then its poped out 2more times, the last just throwing a baseball. I recomend taking it easy as its a very bad injury that keeps on hurting for a long time. The good new is eventhough it hurts I can ride! whoooo. Take care man!!

How long did it take to heal enough for you to be able to ride again. I'm kind of worried because there's a race this weekend, and my season started really really bad, so I don't want to miss it. I dislocated mine during my first race run on the Giant Slalom 2 Saturdays ago. My front wheel washed out on the first berm and my shoulder slamed the ground and popped out. I got back on my bike and try to keep going but stopped right away cause I was too much in pain. I managed to pop it back in and walked my bike down, getting a DNF for my first run. I still went back up later on though to do my 2nd run. I wasn't able to race DH the next day though.

Well to ride I pushed myself to ride the next weekend and build up the muscle around the ball and joint! I also put ice on it all the time to help the pain, however the pain after 5months is still here. Just in the last 3 weeks or so I have been feeling a little stronger. But I pushed myself to ride and deal with the pain without putting too much pressure on it! Also when you at home or taking it easy dont move your are so much, even putting in a sling will help. I had a very hard time while sleeping and found keeping my arm close to my body worked best. I wish you good luck and if you try you can race this weekend just keep the shoulder on ice before and after each run, and advil helps too. Ride on man!
