I'm sure there's things that would put you off more than whistles in a race. E.g. Someone screaming at you to pull a wheelie or do a skid.

true but you hear shouting all the way down so you would be more used to that an a very sudden load whistle blast

You hear whistles all the way down, every Marhshall has to blow it when you go past so you'll hear it about 30 times a run.

Was SO tense waiting for Brendan to come down to see if he had kept his winning spree there and beaten Gee. Possibly my fave Round of the BDS.
