what exactly is mini-dh?... i have always been curious and i figured you could expain it to me. what is the difference between a regular dh bike and a bike you would use for mini-dh? how long are the runs? do they include rock gardens and drops?... sorry for all the questions. its just a new concept...the u.s is behind the u.k and canada when it comes to bike related stuff

This part of the Uk is pretty flat, so I guess Mini DH is just what it sounds like really. The runs are really short, not more than a minute or so, and it's not exactly steep. As for bikes, we were using hardtails with reasonably big forks 140-160mm so that gives you a feel for how challenging it is.
This trail centre has a few nice drops, no rocks and a bit of North Shore, as well as 4X and dirt jumps.
