Well, 14 then. Either way, give him four years then. He'll still be absolutely flattening competition.
This kid will - if he wants to go into biking as a career - be well known I reckon.

Well, someone's got their facts wrong:
Mike Montgomery came 2nd in Crankworx this year.
McCaul had an introductory and race section in SEASONS for DJ and I'm sure he was in ROAM.
Berrecloth, equally, had an introductory and race section in SEASONS again for DJ.
Granted the latter two also do downhill, north-shore and free-ride, but they're probably most renowned for DJ seen as it was where they started becoming famous in the riding world.
Plus, will you just let me compliment the kid for f*ck sake?

you my friend have your facts wrong.. the kid is 14 (as shown in description) he is riding a 20" BMX bike and all of the pro's you listed ride 26" MOUNTAIN BIKES. a dirt jumper is still a mountain bike. since the kid is on a bmx he will probably never face any of those riders because they all ride mtb and if you have not noticed you wont see anyone riding a bmx in a "dj" or mountain bike film or contest because he is riding a bmx not a mtb.

Granted, but all of the above I mentioned have had past riding expertise in BMX as well. Another rider (I forget his name) did an interview in DIRT 100 a while back and said, and I quote: "Most professional riders start out in a discapline they aren't in when they are pro. I started in DJ and became a pro DH rider...".
He can jump, he can RT and he can definitely shred; if he wanted too, he could definitely transfer those skills over to DJ and be as good as the above. Or he can stay in BMX, and he'll be as equally good against top-of-the-leaderboard riders as he would 'likely' be in another discipline.

hey i was just curious as to what it feels like to be 14 and to already know what you can do for a living?

"doesnt count.. it was all resi and foam"
no, but backflip tailwhip to RESI would... its still the same trick but landing on rubber.... and from my expirience resi is almost harder to land on and keep rolling.

like im not sayin the kid doesnt have skills.. its just the edit doesnt have credibilty cuz its all on resi or foam

thing is, either way, take away the resi, leave it as a wooden ramp, gurantee he'd land all of those tricks.

i know im not saying he cant or wont (he is an amazing rider and is or probably will go pro) all i am saying is becasue the whole edit is done on resi or foam it doesnt count or give full credit to the rider

and i just saw a video of him doin all of these tricks on a real jump, and this is when he was 13

cullano- this vid has resi at the start but then he rides park. 900 from a quarter to a flatbank counts, doesnt it? theres more as well.
I think if this guy did technical tricks like footjams, grinds and lookbacks/turndowns then he'd be a much better rider than he already is. but he is still an amazing rider!

If this kid's this brilliant now, and he's like what, 10, 11? In say, 7 years, he's going to be surpassing riders like Montgomery, maybe McCaul - Dare I say Bearclaw?
Keep it strong, kid. Keep shredding! I expect to see you dominating podiums in years to come.
