Installing and removing the Rock Shox Maxle Lite DH

so i've got a question about this maxxle, and the 8 clicks needed to tighten it.
once i've got the skewer in, and it's keyed side tight, the other side requires 8 clicks to be tight. here's where i'm confused. the very first dozen or so clicks you hear/feel are very quiet and light. once it gets snug, the clicks become louder and more defined. are these loud clicks the ones i should be counting? or is it simply the first "easy turning" 8 clicks?

When I got my bike, the ball had dislodged and didn't make the click. It was easy to strip down and re-position this ball. Luckily, the Boxxers seem to be very very simple in their design and no job seems to be too difficult on them.

istandalone - Rockshox mean for you to count the clicks after contact is made, as you describe it 'the loud ones'. gsbomber34 and demo8jack - If it is coming loose you should definitely replace it!!

if you accidentally over tightened it and it loosens while you are riding should you just buy a new one?
