hmm... i suspect the rear mech too, normally the arm pulls back until the chain is tight, when you wobble the chain the rear mech arm just hangs but there should be a spring which stops it from being like that

i had the same problem i solved it by throwing it away and buying a new on

The read mechs spring has gone that's why it's not springy and looks dead
