I miss Beacon. I love taking that section at 3:50 to 5 mins at ~20-25 mph. Tried that on a 29er HT and ended up going off the left edge 5' down and getting wedged into a tree and slamming my nuts into the stem/top tube. Then getting back up (after waiting for the pain to mostly go away) and riding it like that never happened. I'm not familiar with that left hand turn after that section though, before making it to the platform. I usually bomb down the the trail beyond the platform. Looks just as rocky though.
