Christmas Eve joy ride

A quick, fun ride right after the snow fell in El Paso, Texas Dec. 24th, 2011. A super fun trail, the Lower Sunset, at the Franklin Mountains State Park! This place rocks!

Yea, but that's what I love about this place. The snow is nice, it's pretty, but it doesn't last too long and then the sun comes back out and it warms back up Smile Well, in your case I hope you love the snow and the cold! Texas is great, especially out here in the south west corner and up into New Mexico!

You still in Canada? Come down and ride the trails with my friends and me, you've got a place to stay. The snow was beautiful and fun to ride in, but it was all gone the next day Smile

No...not yet, anyway. I just moved here about 2 months ago to work for the Franklin Mtns State Park. Are you in EP? We're building some major trail right now through the canyon on the North East side trying to get it finished for The Puzzler MTB Race on Jan. 15 if you are around and want a good work out!

I do not live there anymore. I moved to albuquerque NM, Ive been here for 7 years now, but i do go to EP for the DH series and to visit family. Whats the Puzzler? Is it DH, XC?

It's XC and a major challenge on your endurance. Next time you're headed this way, look us up. We just created a face book page for the park and post events on there regularly ..... the FB name is: "Texas Parks and Wildlife - Franklin Mountains State Park"
