After you add or subtract washers to get the lower guide lined up with the sprocket, slide the guide closer to the chainring so that there is much less of a chance for angular misalignment due to shifting across the cogs, or bouncing to cause the chain to ride into the corner of the guide. RC

Ok thanks very much I will give that a go

check if the roller in the guide is lined up with your chainring. if not then put a washer in to space it out. check the bearing in the roller to see if its spinning freely. there may be some mud, grit or hair or something caught in there.

good plan with the spacer in the jockey wheel, might give that a try

first thing first, is your chain-guide aligned properly, does your chain have tight-spot, how the jockey wheel spinning, make sure everything is aligned!

I know that the guide isn't full aligned with chainring. Check out what I put on here: m.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=87023&pagenum=2736

That explains it fully

Is the bottom guide wheel running freely?

yer it is, the chain is catching on the bottom guide walls, not the jockey wheel itself
