Gondola to the top, the same as Steve peat and co would have used. It is at Fort William, the run we did was a couple of hundred feet from the start gate of the World cup start. Massive stack on Saturday put me off the world cup run, confidence shattered. I am not embarrassed to admit it either. We stayed in Onich, next to a loch. Got some more pics and video of the accommodation and surrounding area to put on yet..

Amazing work indeed, funny you should say that. I crashed a few times but not on the wooded sections.

Mate it is just part of the game we play.I always seem to find the loose plank or the slippery one haha...just lust week on the XC loop i have been riding i was doing a climb and went over a log only about 4" out of the ground.I got my front wheel over it and kept peddalling and the pedal clipped the log.I stopped dead and being over the front mashing up the hill i lost balance and went in the scrub.Picked the bike up and and tried to take off again but when i put my fingers on the brake levers a few yards again up the trail i noticed the brake lever was buckled and oil pissing out.The bike hardly fell over,it was like i placed it on the ground hard but the lever collected a small cut down tree.Result was good and bad.The bad being my Elixir 5's front was destroyed and the good being brand new XT brakes have just arrived
I needed a upgrade so this just helped me make my mind up sooner than thought....Just part of MTB but i like the unknown.

2 weeks off with badly sprained wrist, second ride back 2 cracked ribs,it's certainly part of the game but I'm hoping for a longer interval between injuries next time,2 short rides in a month now and another few weeks before I'm fit again, boring as hell! And it's frigin summer, although you wouldn't know.

Cant take a trick hey mate?
Good luck with getting your body right for the next sortie.I had a staf infection, wisdom teeth issues and a bad run of flu's etc....got about 6 weeks of solid riding in then cut my wrist open at work (im a Butcher lol) so a few more weekends off the bike....It is winter here and it is our best riding season as in Tropical QLD it is way too hot to ride during the day and it rains all summer. Also the Magpies , Snakes and other nasty critters want a piece of you every time you head out.I cracked 2 ribs playing rugby and it is without doubt the worst injury ever and even harder when you are a old fart like me to recover...good luck Minty

What doesn't kill you apparently makes you stronger, love to twat the idiot who coined that phrase..We all sustain injuries in our PASSION, I believe it's a passion. Most of us have been riding bikes in one shape or form from an early age, most probably until we can no longer do so I believe. It's strange how we as humans love to tell people about our crashes etc, none bikers do not understand. They call us mad...Still nursing a neck and shoulder injury myself from Fort William, I may visit the doctors. Maybe next week lol.

Yeah its just the way it is.I love a chat to a non MTB person. They just dont get it and it just comfirms to me how lucky i am to be chosen by the MTB Gods to have this passion. There is a old guy around here riding a carbon Anthem just on the bike paths.he must be 70 y/o and fully decked out in bling kit.He just loves it.
I try not to go to the doc when i have a bad fall although us oldies dont bounce as well as we used to so maybe i should start...good luck with the neck and shoulder DSK.
Damn,2 mins into Wallabies V Wales and the Welsh score a try...better go and cheer them on.
