Style for Miles Part 1

 Just watched some of your dj videos from the grove, lately i have been thinking about getting into dirt jumping, and saw you ride the Grove jumps pretty good! Would you be able to give me some small tips on how to start? For the very first time you try it, do you just have to man up and hope for the best and jump or what?
Because there aren't really any "small" jumps near me to try out...
