180 attempt

I tried to 180, got close but not quite. Any advice? I am twisting my hips when I hop, and pulling my arms. I also look for the landing. Anything else?

try your 180s on a steep banked hill first so that you ride up, hop and spin, then ride back down. This way you can start at a slight angle and use the hill to get an extra pop and once you get more comfortable you can go straight at the hill and then hop a full 180. Once you master it on a bank it will be a lot easier on the ground... And try it on a hardtail Razz

Also learn how to fakie and half cab out. Flatground 180's are fairly useless if you cant get out of them lol. Not a bad attempt on a freeride bike tho!

seems like you can't hop very good on that bike, not saying you suck but its not easy on a dh bike. Try a hardtail would be the biggest help. Also look the way you want to go, turn your head and your body will follow. You turn left so spot the landing, as much as you have to, over your left shoulder not your right. remember your body follows your head, if your head stops turning your body stops.

Its a bit hard on a 43lbs of DH bike

Get a bike under 30 lbs it will help

what keelan-mills said. I can do it on my 43lbs DH hardtail (just barely, and only on a good day), But the DH style rear suspension impacts it negatively way more than an extra 10-20lbs of bike weight in my opinion.

More space more time to set up, the comment regarding a bike under 30 GTFO I can 3 tap a dh bike.

Hahaha. Da fuq is a J-hop anyway.

Some people say they're the same but generally "J hop" is front wheel and then back wheel where as "bunny hop" is both at the same time...
