Broken Wings

My relaxed little XC recovery video documenting my crash, surgery and riding again. I just had my second surgery today, the doctors took that metal plate and screws out. Thank you to Jonny Covey (Trek17)+ Louisa Sussman (bermaguii) for filming. Thanks to (david-hill) for the PB logo. Stay positive through rough times and things will always get better.

Very nice! And good recovery!! Good to see your riding skills without problems. I had the same injury a year ago! I broke my clavicle in 3 parts but the bone was exposed to the exterior, haha. 4 monts after the surgery I was shredding the trails again. My doctors didn't took off the plate and bolts yet, so I am a warning sign for airports! Keep it riding!

Thanks man! That sucks! It's a terrible thing to have happen, but it's good to be riding again! Haha yeah those metal detectors will be a hassle! Gracias y saludos amigo!

Thanks Matteo! That means a lot coming from you, the master of videography! I'm so glad to see you back riding after that horrific faceplant, when are we filming your recovery video?

Awesome! Did you sell yours already???

I had the same break last summer. Still have the plate (and 8 screws) in, and you don't need to worry about metal detectors. I've flown a bunch of times since and never had it go off.

That's gnarly looking from your profile picture! Are they ever going to take them out?

Hopefully. The doctor said I really have to want it out, and that they don't usually take them out. And yes, it was pretty gnarly, but I guess getting cut off by a truck at speed will do that...

Ouch. I crashed off that drop in the beginning of the video.

Sweet to see you recover man and dude you were ripping it up! Love how you tear the sling off in the beginning, hahaa.

Thanks man! I feel like XC won't be well received on here, but I wanted to shred what I could. Yeah, that was the best feeling ever. I was stuck in that damn sling for 3 months.

I hear ya man, I had a sling on for about the same amount of time this time last year, probably why I liked seeing you rip yours off, hahaa. I hated the damn thing but couldn't go without it.....you know. I think the worst part for me was the lost muscle mass on the bicep, still trying to get that back.

I'm sorry for you man, I know that feels. Yeah, it was a bit of a dramatic way of saying "I'm done with this sh*t, I want to ride!" You should have seen my arm after having the sling on that long, I had absolutely no muscle and couldn't pick up my cat off my keyboard.
:p
