What editing software are you using to maintain this resolution? I have a gopro hero3 black edition and my imovie software on my macbook destroys my resolution on my videos. I am looking into options for software and was just wondering what you are using?

I am using just the regular macbook pro imovie. I am importing the movies directly not dragging the movie into an event.

I was having the same problem with one of my other cameras and i never fixed it so it might just be the camera. When the movies are on imovie is that when the resolution is messed up or is it once you export it?

Another option. (This will take alot longer time than usual) Download the application MPEG Streamclip and drag or import your clips into it and then export the clips and the exporting will be compatible with imovie and it will keep its resolution
