very nice guys. How are the trails looking up there? are all the takeoffs still flattened or has someone finally taken responsibility for fixing it up again?

WARNING-RANTING
looks like me and ramsay really were the only ones building there. No dig = no ride works both ways, we stopped riding there = no maintenence gets done anymore. I would keep going up and fixing things if others helped out but I dont get many days off and dont want to spend all my time digging. Bonaly isnt a trail centre so it comes down to the users to rebuild takeoffs that have been kicked down and to dig out the drainage/re-surface berms. I've not ridden there since the end of last year and its pretty disapointing nobody is bothering. A lot of people are unsure wether digging on someone elses trail is ok so dont do any. Its pretty simple. Dont modify/change the trails. ie building new features/removing features. but if for example you've been smashing a berm all day and its getting rutted, fix it back up to how it was, doesnt have to be there and then, you could ride it for a few weeks then one week go up and just dig. The same with the takeoffs that have been kicked down, if you ride there and nobody else has fixed them then rebuild them to how they were the best you can. These trails belong to everybody who uses them and everybody should help keep them riding their best. RANT OVER

Believe me I try and so do others to improve lips and build stuff back up but every time we do so it just gets destroyed, I think by bad riders. For intense , 2 weeks ago we rebuilded the step down on the "new trail" that disappeared , after 2 days it had been disassembled and logs piled on tracks. Then some guys come up and build new trails and features that ruin the other trials. There are now two shovels up the top and I have some plans to rebuild the jumps and other wee bits before the next edit I film. Hopefully we can see an improvement in the trails

fair enough. My mate angus has been up building today and im going to try and get up next week. Will look into making some signs. I had a feeling it was maybe people who haddnt been riding for long and didnt like the 'new' jumps they were seeing and not realising it was just the way things are ment to be. so if you're up over the weekend and the new stuff is still there be careful cause its not been ridden in yet

Ive just created a facebook page for the trails. Try to share this with everybody you ride with and mention it to anybody else you see on the hill. Its a community page for everyone to share general trail info about conditions and also to tell about potential shifty characters modifying trails
www.facebook.com/BonalyDownhill
so please share and like and hopefully we can get the bonaly downhill community back to how it was a few years ago
