Hi guys so yeah, one week later back on my feet. wanted this video up just to show first of all what to do if one of your friends hurts their neck or back. nobody moved me at all which was the right thing to do, i had spinal injuries. it took 2 and a half hours just to get me out of the woods because of the care the paramedics had to take and a specialist evac team to arrive because the air ambulance was scared of the clouds. it was all worth it because i arrived in hospital with stable fractures to my spine so i didn't have to undergo surgery and recovery should be easier. Secondly it doesn't matter what sort of trails you are riding even something quite easy like this can be deadly. this trail is easily within my skill level but some problem with the front tyre and an awkward landing nearly crippled me. show all trails the proper respect and wear a helmet! even on this crash my helmet saved my life, its pretty smashed up now. as far as protection goes a neck brace would have prevented most of the damage to my spine. The true moral of the story is don't go riding alone! If i wasn't with Matt and we didn't meet Sam 20 minutes earlier i would have been in a whole other world of trouble and would probably still be stuck in the woods now. So i'm on the road to recovery now and already itching to get back on the bike! Ride on guys, Thanks for the support!

He was in a bad way. Spoke to his Dad tonight, and he has now realised he's broke 4 vertebrae...one in his neck and the rest n his back I think? Gonna see him the weekend.
