Hard crash during practice run

Crashing is bad enough, safety marshals made it worse.

They needed to stop the racers from going instead of picking a seriously injured athelete up like that, they needed to stabilize him before moving him like that. Hope he's alright that's a gnarly crash.

My sentiments exactly...I am a nurse and trained in first response and they did so many wrong things!

You see so many video's in some countries such as Chile, Mexico, Portugal, Brazil and Indonesia, where the marshalling is just utterly atrocious, so backwards in some cases. Like this, was during a race run believe it or not! www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAjtjWtoePk

People crossing on a very open and sparsely spectated track is almost impossible to control, but there where marshals all around! Crazy, they all need basic first aid training at least!

Well, in the case of people crossing organizers can't really handle all of the crowd and things like this do happen. What organizers need to make sure though is that their first responders should at least be knowledgeable on first response.
