UK or Spain - DRY TRAILS!...
The wettest winter on record… with half the UK under water… and a Saturday ride to plan… we had a choice of Spain… or a favourite spot of ours (which seems to resist everything Mother Nature throws at it)… sadly EasyJet had no last minute availability… but… what a fun fun day - with the sun shining and dry trails… who'd have thunk it!...

Went up there again today , wind was a bugger , so much so we had to evacuate the car park as trees were coming down !
Managed to screw my left shoulder up after clipping a tree stump today , reminded me how f*cked my left shoulder is :/

Trees coming down's never good… but coming down where you've parked the car that you've just paid out to get back on the road!… arrgghhhhh!… and shoulder's!… *&^% man… I know all about that sadly… hope yours isn't too bad?… but out of curiosity - how do you clip a tree stump with your shoulder?… pedal maybe?… but shoulder… was it that windy?...

I clipped the stump with my pedal and it stopped me dead ! shoulder is feeling pretty damned sore right now !
A guy from the national trust turned up with a chain saw and started felling all the trees that were tipping over , one little skinny tree was holding a big old beast up right , was dodgy as hell , the car park has now been closed , for safety reasons !

cheers buddy… your comment reminds me of a Trading Places quote - "looking good Billy Ray... feeling good Lewis"… a classic!… so in reply… I say… "feeling very good sir!"...

A place called Badbury Clump… near Farringdon (North East of Swindon)… and it's a really good playground for bikes… nothing of any great length… but what's there is well built, flows really sweet and is great fun to ride… plus it drains like a sieve… quite sandy like Rogate… there's a National Trust carpark where we park… type 'Badbury Clump' into google maps and it comes up... there's a load of trails near the carpark… but these particular ones are slightly further away and hidden in the woods… happy to give directions or meet there for a ride sometime...

Sounds like a busy schedule… I'm riding Revolution next weekend, and am currently free when you're at Gawton… but have kiddy weekends every other - this weekend being one… although they are now at an age where I can often get out for an impromptu ride on a Saturday - tho it's difficult for me to commit too up front… and the weekend after Gawton is a kiddy weekend… it's a possibility… but can't fully commit… although completely free the following weekend?...

that weekend your free would be good, I can meet wherever to be fair, wouldn't mind trying something new, just ping me a message :-)

Cool… I'll pencil something in my diary… and we'll talk a little closer to the time… good luck with the race next weekend!… am tempted to have a pop at some (or one) of these mini downhills myself at some point… do you get much riding in on the day?…
