No, the berms lead to Black, Red, S2A and Root Canal. There are plans for a complete overhaul of DH3 though.

I think DH3 from after the 1st fire road is perfect as it is , it's just the pedally top part that could do with changing , I hope it doesn't get changed to much in the mid section especially , those corners are great.

I haven't ridden it for ages tbh, I used to do it for a sort of warm up. I guess it was the top section that put me off it since there is nothing much going on as you said, but i do remember the bottom half being pretty nice and flowy.
