Water RESTRICTIONS!!!, in a world where the ice caps are melting at an alarming rate "apparently", and the sea levels are rising at an equally alarming rate "apparently", why would you even consider restricting water usage, and hosepipe banns. It's fuzzy logic at it's fuzziest. All you Gore-ists, you can't have it both ways. We should be being encouraged to use water, not conserve it, evolution suggests that the planet will indeed be almost covered in water again at some point in the future, like it has been in the past, the past being billions of years ago mind you. So the water levels will indeed rise, so use as much water as you can. Water rates are high enough, so fcuk the hosepipe banns. Paahh politicians, I've shit em.

Ice caps melting = sea levels rising...this does nothing to help combat the effects of the severe drought in California. Large scale desalination is not currently an option for providing fresh water from ocean water for agriculture or for use by the general population. Rising see levels will provide their own and mostly independent problems for California.
