Smashing some carbon bars

I put a huge nick in my bars during a recent crash, so I thought I'd throw them in the press to break them before I threw them in the trash.

 I'm curious. Did these break at the nick?

 Yup! The abrasion had cut through some fibers, so I knew they weren't safe to ride. Failed as expected, but the deflection is really insane.

 Unfortunately no idea on the pressure! The gauge on this is pretty inaccurate, and I didn't want to take the time to rig up an actual test setup.
