 As a fellow noob (2 months of trials), I'll try and explain the best I can. Try and start by kicking to the back wheel WITH OUT getting off the ground. Think of it more as a push. Push yourself up to your balance point and, yes, LOCK the brake. When you're comfortable with that try and hop with the kick. To do this, you use generally the same foot/leg motion you use with a bunny hop, but without worrying about pulling the front up, as it it will already be up. It took me a while to get down too, so don't get discouraged!!!

 this guy above me is a gimmp...im am a noob too ive been riding for about a month and i can gap 6 feet. here is how u can learn

you are doing well. i have been riding my trials for about a month now and i just learned how to peddle kick about a week ago. for hoping do what the guy above me said but if u want to learn how to peddle kick its just something that comes to you i had m friends try to explain it to me but i couldnt get it.. but to peddle kick what u want to do is hop like that and when your just about to go up let go of the brake and push forward with what ever foot u lead with (but wear shin pads). and lets hope u learn it faster than !

 Do you lock the rear brake between kicks..if so how? i have tried but the front wheel keeps falling when I do

 the best thing to do is just pulling up ur front wheel n try to balence on it, this will help a lot because your hops are all over the place! then .... i left a comment on your other video

 You almost got the hang of it... good luck, but i think you should have more air in the tires.

 i just mastered this yesterday, on a mountain bike. you need to lean back a lot more.
