Jump doesnt work

The berm is not big enough, the least violent of my falls. Luckily turned my bike to the side instead of a frame case on the log.

Your having to pedal out of the berm to get just that much speed just to clear the jump.

Either the berm needs to be widened (not so tight) or , the jump needs to be pushed back down trail further (at least a yard) or the lead in trail before the entry of the berm needs to be really groomed to hold speed coming into the turn and still pedal and hit the feature to a good landing.

Remember with slotted wood features, there is friction and loss of speed due to the slotted wood and rise of the ramp. Sometimes there requires a drop of 6 inches to a foot for the feature to truly work based on its location. Your work looks great on a whole, it is always about bringing it all together so it (flows) and seems effortless for transitions from one feature or turn to another.
Oh, glad no broken bike or bones, funny to see you just lie over.

I'm glad I didn't get hurt, it was just bothering me so I went for it. I'm going to totally remake the berm, it's way to tight. Once it's bigger I'll do it again, I really just needed to know exactly how fast to go because I've never ridden a feature like it. I did cut my shin pretty good on my first attempt, but it's nothing to worry about luckily

 Chicks dig scars!

rule of thumb; landings always gotta be wider than the jump in width with bigger features. Keep up the good work

There is a landing, but you can't really see it in the video. There's a log that starts the landing, it's what I toppled on to. I turned sideways in the air instead of frame casing on the log. I'm glad I know what it needs now, and the intimidation is gone.
