I wish I was canadian. I'd be great at riding bikes, I'd have great trails a step from my house, and I wouldn't feel cold temperatures... Win! :-) Really..

Canada seemes to be best place to live if you're in to mtb.
I really envy you all those awsome bike parks.

same in scotland, so we say f*ck them and make mini canada in our local riding spots. (and when i say mini, i mean tiny in comparison) but then again we do have fort bill

Highland MTB Park may not be the best but its ours and not a bad place for my first concussion and a few broken ribs.....Awesome riding and constantly improving...New lines almost every year

There is no legal stuff in Santa Cruz (except demo and a few dirt jump spots). Everyone stop shitting trash all over the trails some of us maintain.
Honestly North Star is more of a lack of a better spot.
Mammoth is basically a paved North Star.
Of the ones you mentioned this is my opinion.
You did miss Blackrock and Ashland Oregon, which are both epic and mostly legal (so they can be maintained better).

ahaha im not too sure myself but im think its cus they were ripping SO hard down scheleyer and fast trails then he sais" lets do clown shoes" which is a slow, techy and difficult ladder trail, thats my assumption
