Getting Risky on my New Line
My first trail is shaping up well! Need wider lips and landings but it will come with time. For now I'm trying to ride it all sniper and crush my nuts as little as possible

the gap between the third and last jump is tight. id push the landing closer on the third or push the take off for the last jump further. that looked quick looks cool though, I'd be down to lend a hand

The best trail building advice I can give is to make sure a lip is never shorter than the length of your bike. You want to allow the bike to rebound before you take off the lip to avoid getting bucked. That doesn't mean the lips can be steep just make sure they are either long or tall. Keep digging, the mountain biking community as a whole will never have enough trail builders.

In my time riding other people's trails I've found that to be true. If the lips are shorter than the bike you have to pump front and rear separately which is really tough and definitely causes bucking! Next rain I'll definitely make everything a little taller with some nice landings so it flows right.

For sure. I have a tendency to get bucked so my idea was to make something with a lot of kick so I could practice not getting bucked. But if I'm gonna keep the lips this steep they should be a little wider and taller with legit landings. Still came out fun considering I have no idea what I'm doing haha. I'll probably make the 4th jump longer and lower and add some more like that to improve the overall flow.
