Ultimate Adventure clip submission

Usually people see mountain biking as something you need to do on defined trails that are accessible by bike but I have always seen my bike as something you can take anywhere and everywhere, you ride as much as you can (and that is half of the challenge) and if it really is impossible to ride, well of you get off and hoy* it on your shoulders. This way your boundaries of where you can travel with a bike becomes almost limitless, because of this my bike has taken me to some pretty extreme places. My curiosity to know what is around the next corner, over the next hill or what the view is like from the top has often pushed me to my limits and created some memorable experiences over the years. From when it started as a little kid, using the bike to explore further and further out into the Northumberland countryside where I grew up, to where I am now I have become more and more adventurous with each trip or ride. Thinking about it now, when I consider going on adventure it isn’t really complete without getting lost at least once out in the wilderness, pushing my limits in one way or another and getting to the top, there’s just something about getting to the top each time I go out. I often, understandably, find it difficult to persuade people to come along on some of my explorations as most of them know we will always end up getting a little out of our depth or end up hiking out of some valley we explored or something else totally unexpected, but sometimes, sometimes I have friends who are mad enough to join…. And they never regret it! (Well, maybe sometimes…). Let’s hope there’ll be many more to come. *Hoy – Northumbrian word meaning to throw or to heave up
