Introducing 100% tarka

 I purchased the 100% Tarka short sleeve body armor. I liked that it provides CE rated Level 2 shoulder protection which is rare to find unless you want to look like you’re wearing football pads. Tarka also provides Level 2 back protection as well as Level 1 chest protection.

Another reason I decided to purchase Tarka was because it was described as having a “durable mesh body” that offers “maximum ventilation”. After a single ride, there are holes near the seams on both sides of this so called “durable” mesh. I can only imagine what’s going to happen after several weeks of riding. And despite it being a cool day (in the mid 50s), I came home soaking wet.

I really wanted to like Tarka - the shape of the pads seems to offer really great coverage and it felt relatively comfortable on the bike - with the exception of the offset zipper that ends directly on the collarbone. Unfortunately, Tarka is not as described and seems to suffer from bad design and poor quality. I do not recommend this product.
