Colour Correction
Here is a comparison of footy from the Canon HV20. The first shot is straight from the cam, the second is colour corrected. I did all the cc'ing in Final Cut Pro 6 with the "Color Corrector 3-Way". I usually just muck around with it till I find something I like.

but it looks like you didnt white balance the video before you shot it.
Clips go really orangy/brown if you dont white balance then try to color correct.
