My guess would be that its because you get loads of timed runs all day... the winner did 18 last year.. compare that to a national or regional where you may not even get 10 in a weekend. Practice is in the morning then race until 9 at night... thats a long day and its only a fiver more than a national for a whole load more riding.... Just my thoughts but I just make the video
