  • 1 0

slx is better than zee ... FACT
  • 1 0
I no the rest of the lineup is, but zee cranks (in mu opinion) are cooler, and pretty dang light. And zee brakes e getting amazing reviews
  • 1 0
jeah, but zee brakes aren't a bity as XT or SLX. that's the same problem with 2013 saint.

Looks like Bidwell Park in Chico, CA. Great place!
  • 4 0
motown I was going to say Upper Park. With the mesas in the background, I haven't been there in years and that was my very first thought.

You from up that way? Oops I see your from Paradise- I used to live up there, roamed all over that place as a kid.

I THOUGHT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO USE A TORQUE WRENCH ON CARBON BARS?!?!!?!?
  • 90 1
Sometimes you are too lazy to pick the torque wrench. Just as sometimes you are too lazy to switch capslock off.
  • 7 0
 that was priceless
  • 6 2
Capslock intentional. I apologize but yelling was necessary after hearing so much about torque specs and carbon, then spending countless sleepless nights debating myself about whether I should spend the $50 or not.
  • 5 0
spend $50 on a wrench or on bars? Torque wrenches are priceless if you do any kind of mechanical work (in my opinion). Cars, motorcycles, bikes, boats, planes, etc. But its all a matter of opinion I guess. I torque everything. I have friends who just wrench it down till its tight enough for them to be happy. No one has died of a failed fastener yet in my group.
  • 1 0
haha... i know that problem. but i can tell you, i use mine often now... but i dont really know if it makes any difference Wink
  • 4 0
@kerberos - I wish I could prop that comment more. COTD Wink
  • 1 0
@arthursc2 $50 on a wrench. I have not yet because I don't have much carbon.
  • 1 0
Use blue loctite and tighten it until you are comfortable. Been working for you thus far, hasnt it? Smile
  • 1 0
Where do you send your torque wrenches for recalibration? Read some docs where wrenches had to be recalibrated every year, as do vernier calipers.
  • 2 0
Replace those verniers with dial calipers and you can clear any zeroing error they have yourself. I have sent my 2 wrenches to Snap On, but it was $60 after shipping, each. For that cost, I can just buy a new one every year. But I dont build engines every year, so I could buy a wrench each time I am building a motor and it would be cheaper. But I take care of them. They stay in their cases, in the garage on a designated shelf at all times, I never drop them and NEVER let anyone besides myself use them.

And wind them all the way back after usong is esential
  • 3 1
Long way from home?!?! Kyle, these trails are in your hometown... you can literally ride to them from your front doorstep. Way to pin it though! Kill trail!

  • 2 0

Do Not Startle The Salamander! How many times must I tell you...?
  • 2 0
Its a salamander... Haha not to be that guy, but yeah
  • 1 0
I wish in a "test" video, that they'd show someone crash on the parts a few dozen times, just so I know they'll work when I use them.
  • 1 0
As long as you don't over torque carbon, it really is stronger than aluminum. Kyle didn't crash at all when we were shooting, but I can guarantee that these bars will hold up to as much abuse as you can put them through and more.

Love my Deity carbons. They defiantly made me faster.
  • 1 0
I just got the ENVE carbon dh bars. 800mm of awesomeness. Theyre only 245g so even though 5 in longer than my old c3 bars still lighter, sre the diety's pretty light? Becsuse they look like they would be prety comfy too.
  • 1 0
mmmmmmmmmmmmm Black Keys need to be in more edits.
