u can easily replace friends for $$, because at the end of the day ur just doing what u love. and get new friends with all the $$ u got. because true friends can be bought anytime and anywhere...
totally agree with you kennykillsit! Kerba, just because he has changed team it doesn´t mean that he has lost the contact with all of the guys in the Trek team!
at pro level its all about $$, lets all be grown ups for a moment. we all like the sport, and hes an amazing rider. but all that how cool and how laid back is someone is all about PR. and now we buy some crap because he wears it. and he was a trek rider, so doping scandal is imminent .
at the end of the day i like the competition, cant wait for the new season. i dont care who ends up on top, as long as its a close call.
None of us have any right to judge him. We are not WC riders. Risk your life for a paycheck and one that is short lived and I bet anybody with half of a brain would have gone for more money, and more flexibility with decision making. Smart move Gwin.
true dat dave. soon we will have all new, but the same video from specialized. He will look even more cool, so ppl will buy more specialized stuff. its called consumer marketing. nobody is judging his decision to move. its a sarcastic view of all the marketing stuff they pull, not questioning his decision.
So if you got a new job and had friends at your previous job, would someone say you dropped them like a "shit-filled diaper?" I'm sure he is still friends with the guys. He switched teams, get over it.
Haha, you get over it, I could give a shit less. Not a little fan boy and hate spesh(and everything they "stand" for)and Trek needs to keep selling comfort bikes. It was obviously a dick move or no one would be talking about it. Not exactly stating my opinion here, he flat out dropped his team for the highest bidder. If my job was counting on me to fill a much needed position, and assumed I would be there to do my job.... and I left them high and dry? YES, I would absolutely be shitting on people I called my friends. I could it be any other way? Jeezus, seriously.
Gwin doesnt owe TWR or Trek anything, they took a chance by not paying him enough and not stepping up to help grow the Aaron Gwin "franchise"....products, schools etc. Trek cares about road bikes not MTB. Specialized stepped up, aside from that they make a better MTB. Gwin is professional person not just a mountain biker. The sport is lucky to have him, the same way the UFC is lucky to have Anderson Silva and Jon Jones. Without Gwin the bar would be set much lower. Love him or hate him he progresses the sport we all love. As far as his career, it could be over tomorrow. He is setting himself up for success, welcome to America. Sorry if your feeling got hurt....
Are you 12? These riders have a limited amount of time to earn $ racing DH, one serious wreck and it's over. Why not make as much money as possible. He doesn't owe us owe anything, so chill out
Incorrect mullbags, Christianity has nothing to do with reefer. I doubt that Gwin smokes, and if he does, who cares. I know that he is smarter than to do it and be public about it.
ya. i doubt hed be able to kick ass much ass while smoking a blunt as he is now haha he just looks sooo stoned! not saying the herb f*cks ur lungs er anything
I've seen a lot of comments about him being high. I've seen some goggles shots when he is racing and his eyes were still like that. Either that is just the way he looks, or that playa be high all the time! Either way, he is stll faster than shit through a goose!
Wierd..i liked the video but to think of him as a specialized rider just seems wrong..i associate gwin with trek still...it will be interesting to see if he can maintain dominance on a demo unless they tweek *his* demo to be more like a session for him.
He was on Yeti before that. Did you see his interview when they asked him about his new Demo? Yeah, that grin said it all. So professional, we all have a lot to learn from Gwin.
People were saying that before last year, but he kept on killing it.
That being said, I hope the competition this year is tighter. Would be awesome if it came down to the final round with a close race between Gwin, Smith, Minaar, Gee and Hill, with any of them able to take it.
Can you speak normal? This isn't math and you don't need to mix numbers and variables. You obviously did not get my sarcasm in the comment so don't get your panty's in a bunch.
Yes, I know Red Bull is his sponser, but he's moving to Monster Energy Specialized, so soon, he'll be sponsored by Monster. Pretty sure Monster wouldn't agree to him still having Red Bull on his helmet if he joined the Monster/Spesh team!
Lost a lot of respect for this man lately, yes he can ride, nobody's denying that. His preffesional conduct though is far from a shining example, especially seeing as he should be being the one new riders have to look up too. I still haven't seen an official comment from him about his actions either? Dissapointing frankly.
He's already done a statement weeks ago, Trek Racing have done a statement, so have Specialized, you've obviously missed it and basically everyone is happy and moved on. You can now move on too and get over it, ride your bike and not let this get you down anymore. Much love
Keep on Gwinning!

Pretty mellow outlook to have... Gwin never fails to impress me with his perspective and ability to focus on what's important.
I still downvoted....
