Dan Atherton has fans far and wide--the fact that he is racing again at this level--admittedly not close to his former level yet--is nothing short of amazing.

Lost his mojo again Hannah was solid in qualifying only to come up 48th--a mere 10 seconds off pace. On a short track like this that s a killer.

Luke Strobel s run was red flagged forcing the American to pull up. CG and Josh Bryceland were similarly affected. All three were offered re-runs which Rat-Boy and Strobel took however CG declined as he felt his run was as good as it was going to get. 19th on the day 7 and change.

Taking a slip n slide run trackside. There was enough beer consumed trackside that sliding down the grass in a rain barrel seemed fairly normal all things considered.

Great Photos, however Troy was actually 8th on the day, moving him to 11th overall. He is also still 17 for a couple more days. It great to see him doing so well this year, got a great future ahead.

suicycler: as hylands said, the french national champ bailed really hard in the rock garden, hence the red flags (Cedric Garcia, Miami Bryce and one other). That rockgarden picked up some big stacks: Melissa TOp FUel Buehl, Emmeline Ragot, Tim Bentley. Hope Little Timmy didnt hurt himself badly despite him finishing his race. That stack was pretty hardcore.

Any word on Buehl, cos she stepped off the track and looked in quite some pain.

I kinda didn't know who to root for once Peaty got into the hotseat! I wanted Peaty to do well because he had bad luck last year, but I was well stoked when Gwin crossed the line 2+ seconds up!
