VANDERHAM

It's not often you run into someone with as much poise on and off the bike as Vanderham. Thomas made his MTB movie debut at age 15, and started riding as a pro for Rocky Mountain the following year. Ten years and many biking milestones later, TV still makes it all look completely effortless.

 It's like a Vanderham sandwich!

haha syncro, i think you went into the only album that doesn't include biking but damn those digglers are fun! oh and you don't have to be a red bull athlete to know the girls, you idiot. most of them are hired from the U of U, where i go to college... it's funny because they don't know a thing about biking so this is mind blowing to them.

what is the point of telling a bunch of people that dont know u that u know 2 girls in that pic?
  • 4 1
Because I find it hilarious that they have no idea their picture is on a major site where a bunch of kids make comments about their bums... by the way, you're 40, learn how to not type like a teen girl.

He is one of my favourite riders, going big, fast, loose and in style! even if he is just riding a trail without SS fireworks. Great to see him on a "small" bike as well

I like the concept of Winterviews, but I think Tippie should be doing the interviewing. Ryan B. is trying, but his delivery is so forced it's almost painful to watch.
  • 2 3
yeah that is hard to watch
  • 5 0
give him some time so he gets used to it Wink i have faith in him
  • 1 0
yep cool dude he will find his Rhythm
  • 3 0

I love watching Vanderham on the small bike... so fluid and relaxed looking. It's easy to forget how long TV has been in the game, given how young he was when he first turned pro. Great riding intro and interview, guys!
  • 2 0
it's crazy that he's only 26 but has been to every rampage...vanderham is the man!
  • 3 1
I think ryan does a good job. He's well prepared and the questions are well thought out. His delivery's fine. Some of you guys just bitch for the sake of bitching.
  • 3 0

Those knee pads/braces: anyone know the brand?
Also, his saddle is a bit skew in the last pic Wink
  • 1 0
 TLD Shock Doctor
  • 1 0
sorry, i needed to be more precise: the knee guards in the 2nd photo after the vid clip. White plastic shell with straps. He has em on both knees which made me think they some form of standard knee guard instead of a prosthetic knee brace. anyone?

edit: no worries: i found it on the TLD website. It is a medical grade knee brace, and given that price, it ranks very high ito VFM:

Metal tire levers !!! naughty thomas !
  • 2 0
pretty sure those are the Park shop levers
  • 1 0
but made of metal no ? don't matter who makes them don't use them Razz
On a carbon rim also !
  • 1 0
I wish I could ride Heart of Darkness with style like that! (Top photo HoD step down, Whistler)
  • 1 0
don't know anything about carbon rims, but metal levers work just fine if you aren't ham-fisted. It's not like he used a screw driver. At home, I'd reach for these over the plastic lever any day, just like I'd reach for a proper wrench over a mini multi tool.
