bigquotesFor as long as I can remember, Alaska has always been a place that has sparked my interest. Over this past winter, I started connecting all the dots by buying this old school bus and converting into something we could live out of for what I would call my ultimate road trip. It's pretty crazy to think after a full winter of building this thing out it's all packed up and ready to go for the first stop of this road trip. We are going to make our way up to Humboldt, California to meet up with Brett Watts and Ali Osgood for some good times! - Andrew Taylor

Yyeewwwwwwwww stoked!! Are you on the road right now? These updates pretty timely? Interesting to see the weather you catch in Alaska as I'm heading south. To state the obvious...you feel really small, really quick.

I would also like to see where he is currently, getting kind of late in the season up here but with the weather we have had lately (70s last week) the only thing he may miss is the Salmon.

Lived 42 years in Alaska. started scouting mtb trails in the late 80s early 90s. Freeride is very limited due to lack of access everything is so heavily forested or remote only very small pockets can be found. In 2003 Alyeska Resort opened for DH lift access . A Friend Warren Rowe worked hard on it for a couple of years . I built man made features and delivered them to the mountain 125 miles away despite all the effort it eventually closed around 06. By this point I felt the need to move on. I now live in Wyoming close to resorts and backcountry and dont regret it. I miss Ak sometimes but not bugs, tourists and dense unrideable terrain. Great place to visit but not to DH. just an old bikers 2 cents

Things have changed my friend. There is plenty of riding to be had. You just have to work for it. Aly has opened back up to dh in the summer.

@907hemi: I just broadened my horizons. Winter Park Co. Steamboat,Anglefire, Sol Vista, Keystone. not to mention the backcountry riding is insane with a road to the top of every mountain. !2 hour drive puts me in Bootleg Canyon. 4 hour drive im in almost every main Bikepark in Co. I always knew the riding in AK would be great someday I just couldnt wait. Glad to hear it's progressing and hope access isn't being taken away like alot of places. Ride Happy and ride faster than the mosquitoes can fly my Friend!.

Keep up the good work guys! The bus and the filming was all really well done! Whenever I'm on a trip I can never either remember to film, or get in the zone to film, so huge props to that!

At least you got stupid right!

@Beez177: I have no idea what's wrong with you. It appears you're the only one to jump down people's throats. Go ride your bike.
