However most people will be first checking out the trailer, to see what filmmaker Clay Porter has been busy putting together over the past 2 weeks for this launch. Here's what he says in his own words about the trailer for F1RST:

"I'm really excited about the launch of www.f1rstmovie.com and to finally release the film's trailer. Since I premiered Between The Tape last April, I've been hard at work on the film's sequel and I'm stoked to finally let people get a glimpse of what's to come on April 18th.

Between The Tape and its trailer touched the surface of what the sport of downhill racing is, but for the F1RST trailer I wanted to delve deeper into the minds of the athletes. I chose all the interview clips and narration to fit a certain feel; finding out what is going through a rider's mind when racing downhill.

I'm also excited about the blog on the website where you'll be able to track the final two shoots of the film as well as the editing stages. Even though the World Cup series ended last September I haven't put the camera down. I leave for Sam Hill's house in Australia in a week in a half to wrap up his section, and then leave for South Africa at the end of February to shoot with Greg Minnaar and Steve Peat for their section. It's going to be a busy next three months for me and you'll be able to track it all on www.f1rstmovie.com."

For more information on sponsoring the movie, or hosting a Regional Premiere, go to the contact section of the web site. To get yourself some tickets, pre-ordered and locked in for April 18, visit the section on the World Premiere, which is kicking off less than 88 days from today.

Where is my bike...I need to ride now!

Check it out!

Porter poached the main song from the movie "requiem for a dream" for his soundtrack....if any of ya ever seen that movie you know how freaky it is....

makes ya wonder if he did it on purpose

This is the most attractive Mtb movie teaser i've ever seen. As well as showing some nice footages, they also explain how this sport is on worldcup racing and make it look interesting for bikers and non-biker people.

That trailer looks sweet,is this movie shot in HD or not because it looks realy sharp to me.

In that resolution, almost everything (except the next best 40$-helmet-cam) looks sharp. I´d be pleased if it´s in HD. DVD´s were fine on TV, but on most Computer-LCDs (which are bigger than native DVD res.) it looks awful if you´re too close.

Aside from that, it looks very nice. I love the documentary approach on the whole thing, because racing is not only about people shredding down a hill. It´s a lifestyle.
