In other news, the guys over at Trippin get their hands on the new Camelbak Skyline low slung pack and set out to test if it really does ''stick like glue!''.
I hope I don't sound super negative but I'm tired of how these videos "review/test" products. I'm not trying to single out these guys, they look like awesome dudes and I dig their sense of humor.
But it's the exact same recipe for every single product:
1) Say what product you're testing. 2) Make a sick edit of some dudes riding in a killer location with trendy music but absolutely no focus on said product. 3) Say absolutely nothing about how the product performs. 4) Show absolutely nothing about how the product performs, just show dudes shredding gnar with said product.
It's getting old, Bike Industry. I'm sorry, but I'm a dude with a limited income and if you expect me to drop 2-day's pay on a product to replace a product I already have, you're gonna have to do better than a flashy video.
Show us HOW that design is better. Show us WHY. But this MTV music video approach to reviewing products is really stale and silly.
If they stop inventing new stuff innovation wouldn't exists. You may think this is crap but to others this maybe what they are looking for.
If you're tired of being advertised to turn off the TV, never surf the web and certainly don't watch movies or online videos.
Well because they all try to sell you shit.
