 And really good at paying Rampage competitors penuts.....and playing the f*cking Sail song. Redbull go drink yourselves to death on your own poison. Actually been 3 weeks without caffeine and I think its showing. Any lawyers out there-definition of a poison is "an exogenous substance when ingested can cause morbidity or mortality". Just need to read any number of recent coroners reports into "energy drinks" contribution into deaths in "young people" in various situations to meet this definition.
Having said this can't wait to this years Rampage especially if Redbull puts up some decent prizemoney......and as someone has already said all this footage is free to watch so it is difficult to be too critical of redbull.

 gnarliest world cup there's been in ages. hardly anyone getting a clean run down. would love the world cup to go back to cairns next year hopefully on a dry track and see the results then. it'd be a completely different track/race to the conditions this weekend. i want to see mick hannah smash it in the dry

 bring back Schladming and Champery before another Cairns race. Cairns was enjoyable for sure (mostly because of the mud and crashes) but enough with these flat and uphill sections.

 This edit was way more fun to watch than the live feed. It was like they set up the cameras to make the track look as boring as possible. They were all in the sections where people were likely to fall or in wide open pedaling sections. The spots where the cameras would be was probably determined ages ago and not revisited after the rains came down.

 Thought the same about the cams positions..biggest fail was that they filmed that looooong pedalsection at the finish lineall the way.

 Last year it had rained the day before the race at 4 of the 6 world cups (Vallnord, MSA, Hafjell and Leogang).
It's just that Europe and North America don't have the kind of torrential rains they have in tropical regions like North Queensland.

 @fabdemmaere - Have you ever been to the West Coast of BC? We have a Temperate Rainforest here and we get torrential rains quite often some area get over 3500mm of rain per year!

 @Fabdemaere, it rains half the summer here in Austria but it's steep enough that it runs down the mountain rather than sit on flatter tracks like Cairns. Plus, conditions were so bad at Cairns because it STOPPED raining. If it continued to rain the racers would have had cleaner tires and rocks at least.

 It's not the gradient, it's the volcanic soil there in cairns, it doesn't drain, it just thickens like corn flour.

 Neko looked the fastest through the couple of tech sections that were shown on camera. So stoked to see that, without the crash he would have pushed for the win! Awesome We have Americans plural who are relevant at the top of the WC Series.

 I reckon the only way to watch these redbull "events" is to watch the replay after blackbanning news of the event so you can fast forward the course holdups plus in Oz our broadband speeds are so slow that "live" (since there is nothing live about the mens WC DH anyway is there?) broadcasts are pretty unwatchable due to slow refresh rates and low "P" rates.

 When I said podium it was in respect of 1-3 hot seat finishers , a normal podium . Apart from cycling I don't think anyone else counts 4=5 as being "on the podium" Should have been clearer I suppose.

 The podium is top 5 at the dh world cup, from my understanding all the riders consider the podium to be top 5
