This was supposed to be a photo of Jerome Clementz as he won carried over his form from yesterday to win this stage again, but then Martin Maes came through and did this. I do have to admit making two mistakes about Martin in the article yesterday. First, he's only 16, not 17. And second, he is now on clipped pedals, but it doesn't seem to stop him getting loose...
For the conditions he is riding in and all the dirt flying up, the dude and his bike look super clean. I guess that's one thing I like about the picture.
I'm far from an expert, but don't see much serious camera work here either... are you referring to the fact that he used a telephoto and an open aperture to get a shallow depth of field? One of the easiest ways to shoot action sports I reckon... but either way it certainly came out nice and is an awesome photo!
I suppose I was referring more to something (at least for the past few days) more original. It was refreshing to see a photo of something other than slopestyle.
I like turtles because they're so chill. They take their time and they don't bother anyone. They just sit on a rock and eat their lettuce and sometimes, just sometimes, they get stuck in green ooze and become bada** crime fighters with numchuck skills. Besides the fact that you could die of salmonella poisoning if you touch one, whats not to love about turtles?
