Selected by Scott Secco - Bruno Long's photography never ceases to amaze me. He seems to have a knack for finding unique compositions in incredible locations. It's not luck that leads to photos like this though, it's hard work and long hours off the beaten path. This is another standout shot from the Dream Ride photo story earlier this year.

I believe it's several small ridges on a hillside, and you're seeing the shadow of the rider on another ridge that's out of the field of view. The sun is low in the sky, so the black parts are shadows from each of the mini-ridges
