Chris was boosting this triple on the bottom of the 951 trail on his Intense 951. The takeoff was kind of in the middle of the shot and to the left.
Was a tough day for me shooting with a blown disc in my back, so lighting is not my best, but I tried.

I usually do not critique. But pod? A photo should show some reference. ie were its going, were its been. And for the very least show the face of the rider. Also in post process the sensor dust needs to be removed. Has the pod voting team lowered there standards?
If you cant tell where the trail is coming/going? The rider took off just above the small green plant directly below he rear wheel and landed out of the frame. Showing peoples faces in the shot is for HS and little league SPORT shooting. Sensor dust yeah if you are doing print but if you just run a fast batch action that what U get!
If the photo was not picked as a pod I would not have critiqued. I agree that the face does not need be shown but it should not be covered up by his arm. Looking at the photographers album there were a lot better ones in there to choose from. We are talking about pod material not just a plane photo. As far as batch process use nix software it will clean it up even in a batch process. My point was that pictures chosen to be pod should stand out from the pile not just an everyday run of the mill photo.
moody, you say pod "should" be this or that, but according to what? did i miss the 10 commandments of a good pod or are you making up the rules as you go? as far as i can tell from the years of pods there is no criteria other than some guy at pinkbike liked it that day. this pic has more action and emotion than a really crisp (but bland) shot of some DH guy carving a burm which we get often. its a welcome change to me...
try to take photograghy as modern art, where there is no perfection, only expression, then this pic could be awesome to you as well, with or without sensor dust, rather than a reason to be, uh, moody... anyway, good times, good vibes, good day.
I agree with moody here..........sensor dust on a POD? I dunno, and I am hardly one to criticise, but that alone would kill it for me............but, to each their own I suppose.....
thanks everyone for the cheers...and thanks to the people that didnt think it should be POD too. I was shooting this day with a herniated disc in my back so the whole shoot sucked, but I am glad someone liked this set. cheers Stikman Intense Marketing Manager www.intensecycles.com www.twitter.com/intensecycles
Oh, they are my friend they are! hahaha. If your wondering where the take off is, it's by the bush on the left. It's a hip and you can make out the line/direction he came from in the foreground.
