Not my cup of tea, the rider doesn't "pop" and the background and foreground are too distracting for me...

And the fact the place looks like its gonna fall apart.

if he was wearing bright red or what ever it would be much better

Picture talk aside, that's a bitchin unturndown for that quarter

Should have maybe waited for different weather, or later in the day. That flat light and grey sky isn't helping anything.

i disagree, i think the point is to make the rider one with the ghetto-style pipe. why sould he pop out, there are plenty of pictures in that style. i think it's super cool Smile

looks super apocalyptic, i think its a great shot Smile

I like it. Makes me feel like I'm there. But that most likely because the room I'm in is freezing right now. BUUURRRR

at first i thought that was a can-can table or something haha!! awesome style

I think the darker looks is what was being sought after. The fact that it's not a flashy new saturated POD makes it raw and meaningful. Killer Shot

@David-hill hell yeah we drink tea!

I like it. Sort of shows that riding happens anywhere, long after the jumps have been appreciated.

I think the flat daylight is not the best one for this photo, but I really like the way to give life to something dead (my english is terrible, sorry all)

With a little bit of post production editing this shot could be a lot better. As Maarrk mentioned, there's a lot going on in both the foreground and background. The focus is not on the rider due to the busy surroundings. The rider is also a bit blurry, so maybe a faster shutter speed next time and maybe a remote flash. Just my two cents.

Even some simple colour correction and the red in his bike would stand out.l

get used to the dark side maarrk

there is definitely a wireless flash used that is why the rider even pops and the shutter is at 1/200. i do agree that there is a lot going on, but what really needs to happen is to have the rider wear a different colored shirt that would pop even more, like red or green.

maarrk is right, something as simple as an orange tshirt would have made this pom worthy, but still a sick shot - awesome composition and mood, nice pod.

Such a dope trick and shot but the first guy is right. The rider need a flash on him or some neon!!

What is it? Second day in a row some junk yard photo gets POD. It's not that I can't see the story behind it - some rotten ramp that is far beyond its time of glory is being brought back to life by an eager rider. OK, that would be a great idea if the photographer could render the atmosphere through a proper composition. What I see here is twigs poking my face..

great pic, more from a scenery point than anything else but riding a halfpipe in such a state is prety brave!
