This photo doesn't really show it too well, but there's an almost identical section of trail on the X-line at Hinterglemm in Austria (next to Saalbach, over the hill from Leogang). Well worth a visit for anyone nearby - it's an awesome trail:
you're not wrong Khakiflame - although given the speed I saw some guys going into the "equivalent" corner on X-line, it could do with being built up as high as this one :-) . Must have taken a huge amount of building, major props to the builders - i would LOVE to ride that trail :-)
khakiflame - I'm agreeing with you dude, not arguing with you :-) ! I totally agree it rocks -its just about my favourite trail in Europe! Sasch and the other trail builders at Saalbach/Hinterglemm were inspired by the trails in Whistler - trails just like Blue Velvet. The corner in the photo I linked to (where Sasch is coming through behind Sabine) is just like the section in Blue Velvet.... except, as you say, that the wallride is not as high. I was just saying that, given the speed that riders like Eno and other local rippers are hitting the section on X-line, maybe it'll need building up like the wall-ride featured here at Blue Velvet!
