Selected by Ian Hylands - The 300mm f/2.8 lens does an awesome job of compressing an image, sucking the background and foreground together, while also creating a shallow depth of field, ie not much in focus. That's what creates this great look where the rider is sharp and in focus, and really stands out from the completely blurred background and foreground. Awesome shot of Minnaar!
So that's what I've been doing wrong all this time, I need to start picking my lines whilst looking through my stanchions! World championships here I come!
