Lets not get all judgmental about the rider and the helmet rule, it's not like he's on trial or anything.

Boom tish !
(Jan 31, 2013 at 8:29)
What you did there... I see it.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 14:14)
Maaybee he is wearing a helmet, you cant really see it, a helmet with a brim like a hat, yeah....
(Feb 17, 2013 at 16:02)
Only the dieties will decide his fate...
(Jan 31, 2013 at 1:48)
Sorry, the no helmet criticism is fair... The first post in the POD recommendations rules states "3. Riders in photos must be wearing helmets."... Unless now that's just a guideline then this shouldn't have been chosen. It says that if the photo is REALLY AWESOME then it's ok not to have a helmet and you might still get POD.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 7:58)
If someone wants to to pop their Mellon then let them. Every picture someone has to bitch and complain about something.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 8:30)
If it didn't say in the description that he wasn't wearing a helmet then nobody would really know because the peak on is cap from the angle looks just like the peak on a helmet so I don't know what everybody is complaining about.Awesome photograph dude!
(Jan 31, 2013 at 11:40)
I would say this photo qualifies as "really awesome."
(Jan 31, 2013 at 12:26)
You guys are missing the point. I DO think it's a great photo. I also read the RULES for POD saying that the riders MUST be wearing a helmet. I'm now asking if that rule doesn't apply. And if it does apply, it should apply to all riders / photographers. Or am I wrong, and it should only apply to some people?
(Jan 31, 2013 at 17:00)
Maybe he changed the description of the picture after it was chosen to be the P.O.D. Otherwise, how can you tell. How far in advance are the pictures chosen?
(Jan 31, 2013 at 20:22)
Like who reads 'the rules' about POD?? Its an awesome photo and that's all that should matter
(Jan 31, 2013 at 22:35)
Nope no description changed..I only loaded if last week.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 23:26)
Helmet? All depends on what values pinkbike wants to promote. Stay classy.
(Feb 8, 2013 at 9:22)
FINALLY PB! thank you for featuring a POD without a helmet!
(Jan 31, 2013 at 3:33)
I'm by no means a trials rider but i'm glad to see a trials bike on POD . Just shows everybody has skill, not just the freeriders
(Jan 31, 2013 at 8:55)
I totally agree man, I don't ride trials but I can seriously say that the majority of riding and tricks that has impressed me has been the crazy stuff that these insane trials riders pull off.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 20:19)
trials is so addicting ive just started and cant stop now
(Jan 31, 2013 at 20:23)
^^^Right!? Trials is awesome!
(Jan 31, 2013 at 1:21)
Really?seems to be one rule for everyone else, but not for some.No disrespect to the photographer or rider. But pink Pinkbike really, either its allowed or not.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 7:42)
Would you guys like some milk? Being petty like a bunch a catty women! AWESOME photo man
!!YOU SHOULD QUIT YOUR DAY JOB!!
(Jan 31, 2013 at 0:07)
great photo, but no helmet and pod?
(Jan 31, 2013 at 0:11)
Such a sick photo I have so much respect for trials it takes so much skill to do what they do! And I do believe he has a helmet on mate!
(Jan 31, 2013 at 0:13)
Nah, that's a flat brim hat.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 0:36)
read the description.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 0:52)
People REALLY need to get off this helmet issue. Lets start taking responsibility for ourselves, I wear a helmet because I have made a decision based on my own ability and the risk involved. I appreciate that people look up to other riders and that's great but lets not burden people with the responsibility of others...
If a pic is a good pic then it should be pod whether the rider is wearing a helmet or not! What's next, no kneck brace no pod? No knee pads no pod? Where will this end? Lets stop dumbing down society and take responsibility for ourselves instead of blaming others!
(Jan 31, 2013 at 7:45)
(Agreed with above) But just have to say my input - shouldn't we base POD over whether it's a good photo or not? Isn't that what it's all about, and not whether the rider has a helmet on or not?
(Jan 31, 2013 at 7:52)
He is clearly wearing a helmet. If you zoom in there is a red chin strap around his chin/neck area. I don't know why people even care but yeah neg prop me I don't care.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 8:04)
check out the other photos, i.e.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 8:49)
Oh yeah, looks like he is wearing some early buds
(Jan 31, 2013 at 15:53)
Don't worry bro I'm here with upvotes for all
(Jan 31, 2013 at 19:49)

(Jan 31, 2013 at 0:27)
A pod with 7 faves, that's brave pinkbike.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 0:31)
Nice to see a trials POD for a change.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 1:08)
Nice one Just..! I knew a POD was coming one day...! Be on the look out for this mans photography skills... they can pay the Bills!
(Jan 31, 2013 at 0:02)
Mad respect, trials riders are nuts.
(Jan 31, 2013 at 3:03)
If you have to wear a helmet to get a POD, it explains why there is a serious lack of bmx PODs and I've seen some sick bmx pictures. If you don't wanna wear one it's your choice. But that doesn't ruin a great picture.
