still dont think the contour beats the go pro for picture quality. beats it on price and maybe size? but not picture quality.

as for the run! awesome!!!!

I do like how the contour attaches to your helmet though. Its more convenient. But Gopro does have better image and video quality imo.

Note: this is on youtube, it's not the raw video. You have to factor in video size compression. Also, are you watching it in 720p or 480?

i personally like gopro over contour, even tho contour has all this fancy GPS tracking and stuff, i honestly dont care about any of that. Im not sure how strong the contour is but ive landed right on top of my gopro and its perfectly fine, plus i think the gopro has better sound and picture. just my two cents worth.

does the contour have different modes and settings like the gopro? ie. different modes like 10shot burst, time laps, timer, resolution and FPS,mega pixles and a lot more?

@ scott-townes That's pretty ridiculous. There's almost no lip going into that gap.

Thanks for the link scott, it really shows how different things look on video compared to how they really are. I thought that gap looked like about 5' from the video rather than 15'.

is that a new footage from Curiosity rover?

i like how if the gap/drop isn't enough there's an enormous field of cactus waiting for him at the bottom.

Awesome indeed, Contour VS Go Pro again. From all the footage i have seen, Go pro and Contour are no different if "SET UP CORRECTLY"..Maybe colours can look a little different. I have seen horrendous go pro and contour too. You may say i am biased as i own a Contour, purely bought on looks only. Not keen on Go pro's look, that is all..

If Go Pro would get a round/tube shaped camera instead of the awkward looking box, they would get my vote. I like GoPro's images, but I just can't get myself to strap that goofy looking thing to my helmet. Reminds me of Al Franken on Saturday Night Live in the late 80's with his mobile news reporter bit. Ha! I know I just dated myself a bit there.

Such a gnarly line! A little disappointing that they are reusing the same line he shot with tam in Brighter though.

I just clicked on this because of Kinrade. Legend. What an insane line, camera looked good too!

This line was on the Argentine Project almost a year ago. Sick to see it on a POV cam though.

contour roam or go pro hd hero 1

Didn't he do this in the movie Brighter..?
  • 1 0
Yes, he came that time alone to shoot a race face ad. New stuff from WTTE will be as gnarly as this

Never heard of a wind gag then? Contour's great if you don't want to hear anything but wind noise!

don't really care about the picture... YOU'RE SO INSANE!!!!
