Sequence Saturday: Sam Hill's Slam
Is he okey after all? Any leftover injuries? I hope he has just some scraches and no more. He is my favorite still active rider of all time (Fabien Barel and Cedric Gracia was the other two until they rode DH).

First Look - Hope Technology Cranks
I bought my Race Face Diabolus Cranks for my DH tank, like 5 years ago and its still going strong. I don't care about weight, it is more important to care more about price / value. We have nothing to talk about any more. It is super stiff, and super strong these are the keypoints in my view.

Pinkbike Poll: Protective Gear - or Not
I ride DH, and i usually look like a SWAT man. I always wear full body armor with spinal protector, knee pads, full face helmet, and gloves. The quality also imporant the plastic hardshells make more damage, instead of protecting you (for example my left clavicule injured because of this) - so if you can buy the higher priced SaS-Tech or Evo protection, its really worth it - no joke! On the downside it is super warm in the summer days, and i must drink like 7-8 liters of water for a day, on warm days it is even more. I also have to mention that it is much harder to move the bike to the direction that i want to go, which is bad if you are competing all the time with your same level frirends :D. But after all i feel save, especially in the critical areas head, spine, knees. I might buy a neck protector in the future but the price they are asking for such a thing is ridiculous...

You re wrong, Marzocchi still produced the fork with the old arch. It was made just with the RV dampening system as stock OEM fork on bikes to cut the manufacturing cost.

video
This is super great, the whole video is very well made. The script the story and the act is very captivating it shows us something new. I think this can be true after all, at least in our dreams that someday might come ture of course :). The riding was well filmed and i think the music matched well with the the filming which is important for me. Very well done, im happy i could watch this, really inspiring. And if i have to vote the video i would vote it for 10/10 - awesome. It is so long time i could add a viteo to my favorites but it breaks into it :). Thank you for making this video! Cheers! PS: -- All i can say now is this -- You're the reason why, From the other side, I want you in my time, Before the lines were drawn, In this world of ours, I'll help you fit in my mind, When it's time to get older, If you can't hope you won't find, If you lose your fire it gets colder, Can you make it there alone, It's bigger than my love, I wanted you to know, That I can make this happen, To Bold to loose control, To proud to let this go, Although we made it this far. can you confrim that for me please

FSA K-Force Brake and Megatooth Chain Ring - Crankworx Whistler 2013
Well i have FSA Pig DH Pro headset and it is the best price / value headset on the whole market. It keeps running on large (huge) sealed cartridge bearings and it is BOOMPROOF, after 8 years of use it still keep going and still ask nothing. If FSA can get the best price / value on these brakes while they are absolutly reliable and only needs 1 service / year than i would try it out when my Saint m810-s is destroyed as i already really love them, super interested. I have never tought FSA would enter the brake market, but i like it. I don't think there are XC brakes and there are Downhill brakes - for me the Saints are a big overtake, i would be feel okey with the XT brakes too - i can pull the lever harder if i want to stop faster...

To The Point - Shim Stacks
By far the best technology exist now (and was also used in fox dhx 5.0 too in that time...) you get wider range of damper especially in the rebound side - with too high rebound you can easily can get the knock sound and feel, it is so wider with the shim stacks, not to mention it is 100% tunable for your liking - because if you need a specific damper feel you just need to change the shims and you are there already (well you need someone who knows his job, but you have the ability to change at least). The mountain biking industry slowly upgrades - i just wonder why was it so slow, when the motorcyle industry it was common for a period long of time already... Anyway great article, keep them coming!
