I don't mean to be rude, but does anybody innovate in mtb these days ?
I mean we saw a few weeks ago the best MX tricks from x-games and there was amazing new stuff, even if they fell, bmxers got their cashrolls, frontflip variations and stuff, and mtb seems like "oh yeah look i ride bigger and longer jumps, i'm crazy" but they still only flip it ( and it's not even [L=http://youtu.be/U6PEYE5sGyA?hd=1&t=2m33s]that kind of flip[/L])...

Poaching Chamonix - A Smuggler’s Treasure Trove.
There's no nature reserve on this side, but yes, you really shouldn't do those trails during the season, as you might kill thousands of tourists on your way down. But off-season it's empty so... As I live there, I might give this one a try on may, before you can actually ride the real "bike only" trails !
