by JumpShip
With Union JumpShip just around the corner on June 22-24, 2012, Jordie Lunn needed somewhere nearby to stay. Luckily for him, JumpShip is sponsored by a new building, Union, going in Victoria, BC, and The Condo Group was able to help him out.

Union JumpShip is also really excited about the return of the Camp of Champions Air Bag. Come down and practice tricks like the pros! The Muddbunnies will be running a women's only jump clinic Saturday morning, no experience necessary.

For more info on everything check out JumpShipContest.com.

If you've missed Jordie's previous adventures in preparing for JumpShip 2012, check them out here.

  • 9 2
 Oil.
  • 19 2
America doesn't have oil... oh wait they have ours, nevermind.
  • 3 3
1.4 million barrels of oil per day go to the US.
  • 2 2

  • 2 2
Oh well guys it's a matter of customer choice as well, vote with your dollars or... cook at home? At least you'll know what you eat
  • 3 0

estica - I found a good one regarding the thing you write about:

Oil is truly a tough one to get out of your system, but food? burgers? Cook at home - ain't easy but it will do you and economy a great deal of good...

Would you believe the McDonalds burgers here in Australia they call '100% Australian Beef'........ turns out the company in ASIA we buy it all from has called them self '100% Australian Beef'
  • 2 2
Waldon83 - if that is true, then the author of that idea should get the Nobel prize in marketing and advertising!

I will start a company in China called "From organic farms in USA"
  • 1 1
Australia sends its cattle to ASIA...
  • 2 1
organic ? good luck whit that !!! I'm European and proud of it Big Grin good food and not just food
  • 2 1
I'm fortunate to have choice to get organic food so I buy mostly that. Lately got a bit lazy with cooking so I eat lunches in the city. Got to get back to good stuff again.
  • 1 0
yeah good food is always the best choice Wink

Also, buy local meat if possible, my mother buys all organic beef from farms within 20km of our house, never had a better burger, or steak! It helps local farms and food sources grow and cuts out companies over seas sending their 1/4 meat 3/4 filler burgers over here. Growing your own vegetable garden is also super duper but most won't have time for that.

Don't be hatin'. At least most of Raceface is still made in Canada. You'd be suprised how many of us "yanks" buy Raceface. I have 3 sets of cranks, bars and stems. I run Hope Tech brakes, HS and hubs. Less expensive than Chris King, but about as good. The price is politically based, believe it or not. The brakes are better than anything I've used to date. And I ride a Cotic BFe. Designed in England, built in Taiwan and sold here for less than $600, that's politics for ya. We don't have too much of anything made here anymore. I think Hayes were made down the road the first few years. No more. Even Fox is overseas. It's all politics. We try to vote for the next best person, but nothing works. We like Canada. You Canadians have crazy beer. Molson XXX (I kinda remember that night) and bacon...and Whistler...and giant musquitoes...Guess I'm not being a "good" american. So hockey is over, lets go ride, eh??? hahaha (A team from a town that never freezes won, sad)

Jumpship - can you convince them to run bearings instead of bushings in the pedals? I'm having a real bad time deciding whether to go for AMP pedal or Point Racing...
  • 1 0
i have the AMP and they are really good Big Grin
  • 1 0
I have the AMP ti and I like them...
  • 1 0
I have the Amp. It's great if you can find the right shoe for it.
  • 1 0
 5.10 Low impact?
  • 1 0
I'm using Etnies right now. They seem to be working great. Lakai worked okay. It's just that you've got to get a shoe that works with flat pedals. My Adidas would not grip at all and they'd just slip off. I definitely do not regret this pedal purchase though. If it was bigger like a DMR Vault I'd be in love.

The US of A does have its own oil. There is alot of that black gold underground but we are not allowed to drill for it. Politics as usual. We must like getting our oil from the middle east,go figure! Oh and the oil rig diaster in the gulf of Mexcio pretty much sealed our fate for being self sufficient.
